Mobile Barber Shop Depot is the ultimate destination for modern lovers, a 376m2 space that is a Barber Shop during the day that transforms into a BYO venue by night.
The selection of materials like reclaimed wood, pallets, exposed beams and copper piping paired with antique furniture and decoration, complement the raw space well, where art and design coexist.
The venue also offers a courtyard with skyline views of Surfers Paradise, adding a nice little touch to the inner city warehouse space, decorated with festoon lights, cacti and urban décor. The Depot's event space is an eclectic setting, with gorgeous antiques and props that can be used for your function - private event. There is no need to hire any extra furniture if you are wanting a cocktail style dinner, plenty of lounges and seats for your guests. Take advantage of the Depot's BYO food & alcohol policy, first to save money on beverages and second to have the ability to choose your own caterer and have the option to personalise your event to your own taste. ELOPEMENTS
In Sept 2020 we created inside our barber shop/venue the Cut Throat Chapel to allow our couples to go ahead with their wedding plans with a last minute, no brainer, intimate ceremony.

SATURDAY: The set up for a wedding can start the morning of the wedding day taking in consideration the barber shop will be operating while the styling gets done.
We have 2 options for the ceremony space: The Cut Throat Chapel that is an area already styled with an outstanding floral installation, neon signs, antique chairs, rugs and very quirky props or the side of the barber shop area, a blank canvas where you can start your concept styling from scratch.
The ceremony will start at 4.30pm with guests arriving 30 min prior the ceremony start time, 11pm finish time with all guests leaving the venue by 11.30pm
SUNDAY: You can pick your preferred time for guests arrival
Example Guests arriving 3pm - ceremony start time 3:30pm - Music and service of alcohol to cease at 10pm - all guests to leave the premises by 10:30pm.
SET UP TIMES: We can open the venue at your vendors' convenience and we will liaise with them, according to their needs.

INCLUDED in the CEREM + RECEPT PACKAGE - all our furniture and decor -
one staff on site providing coordination on the day for the duration of the entire event. The coordination includes the set up of the ceremony and reception area as per your requirements, greet your guests on arrival, meet and greet all vendors and ensure correct placement or delivery.
Our staff will make sure everything will run smoothly for a complete peace of mind.
We have a pool table, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and Giant cinema light box, neon signs, that can be used for your event at no extra cost.
SERVICE OF ALCOHOL:
Our Venue is BYO and alcohol must not be sold on the premises and must be served to your guests by staff with an RSA or caterer.
A Mobile Bar usually takes care of refrigeration, glassware and Bar staff. We have no refrigeration in our premises.
FOOD:
The Depot does not have a kitchen or food licence. Power is available for caterers and food trucks can be parked either at the front of the main entrance or at the front of the side entrance. We have a list of caterers/food trucks we worked with and recommend but you have the ability to choose any caterer you like.
FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT:
The Depot has one female and one male toilet available to the hirer and the hirer’s guests. The Depot is equipped with Sonos sound system, which can play music from Spotify or Apple Music. Should the hirer not wish to hire a DJ or musician, then he may make use of the Depot’s Sound System.
PACK DOWN:
The Depot closes at 11.30pm.
The hirer shall ensure that the service of beverages & music cease by 11pm.
All guests must leave the Depot by 11.30pm.
The alcohol left and remaining prop/equipment can be collected at an agreed time and day depending on other bookings
(either the following day or when the barber shop is open)

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: $4,000
For up to 120 guests

On Saturdays:
Guests arrival from 5pm
Music and Bar service to cease 11pm
All guests to leave the venue by 11:30pm
Pack down 11.00pm-11.30pm or collection the day after at an agreed time.
The set up can happen in the morning during the barber shop hours, if not causing disruption to the barber shop, or between 3-5pm.
On Sundays you can have your guests arriving earlier and the event will finish accordingly.
Example: Guests arrival 3pm
Music and Bar service to cease 9pm
All guests to leave the venue by 9:30pm
SET UP: We will open the venue at your vendors' convenience.
No restrictions whatsoever.
DEPOSIT: $300 to secure your date & remaining balance due 3 weeks prior to wedding date

The venue will open at 6.30pm for vendors only
The music and service of alcohol will cease at 11pm.
Pack down (11-11.30pm) and all guests to leave our premises by 11.30pm
CLEANING:
Cleaning fees are included in the Hire Fee
SERVICE OF ALCOHOL:

You will need to hire a Mobile Bar, they usually provide refrigeration, glassware and Bar Staff.
We have no refrigeration in our premises.
PACK DOWN
Any furniture, alcohol or catering equipment obtained by the hirer from third parties and external to the equipment provided by the Depot, shall be collected at the cessation of the Hire Period or the day after at an agreed time with the venue staff.

PHOTO SHOOT HIRE GOLD COAST
We hire our space for photo and video shoots. If your photo shoot happens during our barber shop trading hours, without causing too much disruption to our clients, the price is $90 per hour. No min hours.
If the barber shop is closed, the price is $140 per hour.
