The Depot is the ultimate function venue, a 376m2 space that is a Barber Shop during the day that transforms into a venue for weddings and events.

The selection of materials like reclaimed wood, pallets, exposed beams and copper piping paired with antique furniture and decoration, complement the raw space well, where art and design coexist.

We also have a courtyard with skyline views of Surfers Paradise, adding a nice little touch to our inner city warehouse space, decorated with festoon lights, cacti and urban décor. The Depot's event space is an eclectic setting, with gorgeous antiques and props that can be used for your function - private event. There is no need to hire any extra furniture if you are wanting a cocktail style dinner, plenty of lounges and seats for your guests. Take advantage of our BYO food & alcohol policy, first to save money on beverages and second to have the ability to choose your own caterer and have the option to personalise your event to your own taste. BYO venues are the best!

WEDDINGS

The set up for a wedding can start the morning of the wedding day taking in consideration the barber shop will be operating while the styling gets done.

The florist can start the arrangements and furniture can be moved around without causing too much disruption to the barber shop.

We have done this many times and it is very easy to manage from our side.

 

The ceremony can start from 4.30pm on a Saturday with guests arriving from 4pm, Sunday and Monday any time, for other days we will need to charge an extra fee to close the barber shop earlier. 

 

RECEPTION 

(7HRS PACKAGE CONSIDERING SET UP-PACK DOWN CAN BE DONE THE DAY AFTER).

For up to 100 guests $3,000 + GST

 For up to 150 guests $4,000 + GST 

The price includes the use of all our furniture and decor, security and one staff on site providing coordination on the day for the duration of the entire event. The coordination includes the set up of the cocktail/reception area as per your requirements, greet your guests on arrival, meet and greet all vendors and ensure correct placement or delivery.

Our staff will make sure everything will run smoothly for a complete peace of mind.

We have a pool table, ping pong table, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and Giant cinema light box, that can be used for your wedding at no extra cost.

CEREMONY ONLY

$1,000 + gst

IF CEREMONY + RECEPTION, THE CEREMONY WILL BE ONLY $500  

This includes the use of all our vintage furniture, rugs and any props you might like to use. In addition 2 ivory and 1 green French Provincial couches can be used for ceremony only that we normally keep in storage for special occasions. We also have a signing table with 2 chairs. 

For the set up of the ceremony we highly suggest to appoint a stylist to do so, we will then assist with the cocktail/reception area set up soon after the ceremony ends or you can ask our team to set up your ceremony at an extra $500 fee. 

CLEANING:

Cleaning fees are included in the Hire Fee, however it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the rooms are left to be clean and tidy with all rubbish placed in the bins.

SERVICE OF ALCOHOL:

Our Venue is BYO and alcohol must not be sold on the premises and must be served to your guests by staff with an RSA or caterer. We recommend to use our resident Airstream Austream Affairs if available on the date of your event. You can contact Olivia on 0406006640, she offers special prices for our venue or you can contact your preferred Mobile Bar / caterer. 

 

FOOD: 

The Depot does not have a kitchen or food licence. Power is available for caterers and food trucks can be parked either at the front of the main entrance or at the front of the side entrance. We have a list of caterers/food trucks we worked with and recommend but you have the ability to choose any caterer you like. 

FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT:

The Depot has one female and one male toilet available to the hirer and the hirer’s guests. The Depot is equipped with Sonos sound system, which can play music from Spotify or Apple Music. Should the hirer not wish to hire a DJ or musician, then he may make use of the Depot’s Sound System.

PACK DOWN:

The Depot closes at 11.30pm.
The hirer shall ensure that the service of any food or beverages ceases at 11pm. The hirer shall ensure all music, whether electronic or acoustic, ceases by 11:15pm.

All guests must leave the Depot by 11.30pm.

The hirer must ensure that all empty bottles, empty plastic ware and cigarettes are disposed of in the bins provided. The hirer shall ensure that no such items are left in the car park in the street.

Any furniture, alcohol or catering equipment obtained by the hirer from third parties and external to the equipment provided by the Depot, shall be collected at the cessation of the Hire Period from 11.30pm to midnight.

If this is not possible, they must be collected the following day between 9.30-11.30am or if there are no bookings on that day, at a more convenient time agreed, we are very flexible and our priority if for you to enjoy your night and have the best party.

If the party starts at 7pm and our staff will need to open 1 hour earlier for the food truck/caterer and vendors to get ready when guests arrive,

(Decorations and set up can be made during this time),

all the guests then must leave the premises by 11pm including pack down.

PHOTO SHOOT HIRE GOLD COAST  

We hire our space for photo and video shoots. If your photo shoot happens during our barber shop trading hours, without causing too much disruption to our clients, the price is $60 + gst per hour. 

If the barber shop is closed, the price is $100 + gst per hour.
